How does shipping work?

• To calculate your shipping for each item without purchasing, click the buy now button... click calculate total... enter your zip then click update....then use your browser BACK button to get get back to Vintage Lucy.... or, you can log in to Paypal and pay!

  Vintage Lucy ships all domestic packages Priority Mail within five business days of secured payment. Contact me for shipping discounts for multiple purchases.....any overage paid for shipping will be refunded promptly. If you need faster shipping, please email me immediately after purchasing and I will work with you to get your package as quickly as possible.

• International shipping is calculated automatically through Paypal at approx. USPS rates for first class air.
• Vintage Lucy is not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail. One package has been lost in over 5 years, so it isn't much of a concern. If you want insurance or delivery confirmation on your items, please email me soon after purchase so that I can add these USPS services for you.

What is your return policy?

Store credits are occasionally given. (no refunds, sorry) Items returned must be in the condition they were in when they were received. Store credits are kept on file for as long as necessary for use at your convenience. VL has completed over a hundred successful store credits over the last 5 years. If you would like to return an item within three days of receiving it, please ask for permission by email before sending the package. Items returned without permission will not be received.

What about item condition?

In an effort to keep prices lower, there may be some minor details (even in items of excellent condition) that the buyer will be left to take care of, a few stitches missing in a seam or hem, an occasional missing hook, eye or snap. Anything major will be mentioned. Final cleaning and pressing is left for the buyer to attend to. Excellent is Excellent Vintage Condition, not Mint. VL takes great care that your beauties arrive in fine condition for your delight.

What about pricing?

Every item is one of a kind! There is much time & expense invested in finding excellent & near mint grade items, professional repairs, restorations & creating a clear presentation for each item. Please know that you are receiving hand-picked one-of-a-kind distinctive pieces, so much more precious than store bought garments and designer ready-to-wear fashions, that are one of many thousands of the same piece. Prices reflect this.

What about fitting?

All items are pinned or clipped to fit the mannequin for photos. Please go by measurements and not by the look in the photo to know if an item will fit. Most buyers of vintage items have a favorite alterations person. VL suggests buying a bit large and have the item altered to fit you if you want an exact fit... or carefully measure a garment that you own and compare to listed measurements. Vintage Lucy is not responsible if your items don't fit, so please be careful measuring & ask questions if necessary.

All measurements are taken with garment laying flat.
• Bust: under arm to under arm.
• Waist & hip: side seam to side seam.
• Length: center back base of neck to bottom edge of garment.
• Bodice length: center back base of neck to waistline of garment.
• Arm: top of arm at shoulder seam to end of arm.
• Shoulder width: across upper back arm seam to arm seam.
• Skirt length: waist to bottom edge.

  Do I get those nice earrings that are on the mannequin?

  For photos, clothing items are often embellished with a sash, crinoline, top, skirt, jewelry or other accessories. Accessories included are always mentioned in the description. All others are for inspiration only.

  What do I do if I click to buy something and see this message? "This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant."

  This means this item has already been purchased, but I have not yet removed it from the website. Sorry you missed this item! If you want to keep tabs on new items just as they're added, please be sure to join my mailing list to get updates.
